IN THE DEEP MIDWINTER.

Thankfully, for now, the snow has gone and we are able to get the car down the hill from our home. Snow is very pretty, but becomes a lot of trouble when it interferes with everyday life.I must admit it did look lovely in the garden.

I like the sun shining on the trees at the bottom of my garden.

Greg is making a valiant attempt to clear the snow so that we could get out with the car, he has only another quarter of a mile to go. Not bad for a 75 year old. I must continue to feed him spinach.

Only joking, this ws the result of a mechanical digger that came to our rescue during the first lot of snow. He dealt with the depth of snow only to turn the road int a mini version of a ski run"

Lovely winter landscapes. Our snow is here to stay for a while, I'm tired of it already! Looking forward to Spring.

P.S. A very Happy New Year to you and yours :)

You got some beautiful pictures of the snow in your garden. We were snow-bound last week because of a storm that made our hill treacherous. Fortunately we were able to get out on Friday. The South just isn't prepared for heavy snowfalls.

Gorgeous winter scenes, I love the way the sunlight plays on the trees. Our snow is gone for the moment and we are enjoying rainy warm days but probably not for long.

I miss the snow now that it's gone. Everything is very ordinary all of a sudden. I don't miss slipping on ice, in the freeze-thaw-freeze cycle!

The snow is beautiful to look at but it does cause its own problems.
Your photos are very pretty.

You captured some very pretty scenes around your home. Careful, Greg, lifting that snow!

Snow is fine, like your in-laws,in small doses! Thankfully it has at last gone but brought flooding to this area. We are ok though.

Wooooo Chris, You all have really had some snow. Snow is so pretty --especially when it first comes down.

We have had alot of snow here so far this winter --but finally got rid of it this week. BUT--guess what??? It is snowing again tonight....

Hugs,
Betsy

It looks so beautiful though I know it can be a burden. Hope you're keeping warm and toasty and only going out when you really want to :-)

I agree Chris, lovely to look at, we did have a bit of a ski slope on the hill outside our front door! But i still love the sparkling whiteness of it all. Hope you have a wonderful new year x ruthie x
